Are you really ready to change? Take this quiz and find out.

Every New Year’s Day, my list of resolutions is:
Ambitious. I aim for everything from losing weight to saving more money for my retirement.
Realistic. I just try to bump my good behavior up a notch--be a better friend, give more money to charity---without giving myself any strict deadlines or goals.
Precise. I decide exactly how many men I will ask for a date, or how many new jobs I will apply for.

Whenever I decide to change something, it’s usually because:
My doctor has put the fear of God into me.
I read a magazine article about why making this change is important.
I start daydreaming about how great life will be after I make the change.

True or False: When you want to make a big change in your life, timing is crucial.

Failure is:
Impossible.
Inevitable.
Not in my vocabulary.

What Customers Say About This Year I Will...: How to Finally Change a Habit, Keep a Resolution, or Make a Dream Come True:

I would cetainly order from this seller again. I received this book quickly and it is in perfect condition.

I assumed this book would be typical of the New Year, New You attitude self help books, but it has been a real surprise. A very easy read. It teaches you how to LEARN a new habit, and not just make it through the habit for the usual 21-28 days. Although I am usually into self-help books with specific steps, I like the way this book gets to the root of the why we make changes. I would highly suggest this book to anyone making changes, not only for motivational purposes, but also learning purposes. This book shows why it is better to tap into the fact that you are not LOSING weight or will STOP smoking, but the fact that you are being healthier or providing a better way to feel, focusing not on what you are giving up but rather on what you are gaining. Like the fact that it tells you how the brain works. The chapters are nice, short, and to the point.

Try it. Words have often changed my life. I also loved that the author used the latest neurological research to help explain why some strategies work and others do not. You'll like it. Wonderful, pithy quotes throughout are now stuck in my brain, and I am a person who responds well to such fare. I loved this book.

I liked it, because it gives you very concise and direct strategies on how to deal with the multitude of problems that occur when you are trying to make big changes in your life. when they were the right ones, and this book was filled with the "right" words for me. Bought the Kindle version and "clipped" so many pages that I actually ran out of room for that book. "Analysis paralysis" and "Understanding is the booby prize" are quotes from the book that come to mind as I write this. (See what I mean). I've read tons of inspirational, motivational, and self improvement books, but this is one of the best.

I put the ideas to work in my life immediately and so far, so good.

I could hardly sit still through some chapters, I was so ready to get up and implement my action plan. This Year I Will Reinvent My Resolutions. This Year I Will. I've read it from cover-to-cover and I'm already looking forward to going back through all my ear-marks and taking note on that which I really need to soak up. All the best.Lisa JacobsAuthor of The Rescue You Program was highly inspirational and motivational and I loved M.J. Ryan's writing style and advice.

If you're looking to make changes to your life, this book has the information you need to help make that happen. Goes a bit deeper into psychology of change with great examples of change (and non-change) in action. Got this book as a gift from a friend whom was really helped by it. It's not a magic formula, since it's ultimately up to you, but there is more than just "will power" and this book helps to explain that.On a related note, I read book called "Change or Die" a few years ago that goes along well with this one. If you like this one and want more on the subject, you'll like Change or Die also. He thought it would make a good New Year's gift and I agree. Some great information about change, why people change, and why many people never do.
